Last report for spring
Salmon River
Water Temp: 58ºF     Flow: 900 cfs

Getting geared up for stripers. The Steelhead are still in good numbers in the upper reaches of the river. Getting them to take a fly on the other hand has been a lot of work. Black woolly buggers with crystal flash have been working well. Articulating leeches in black have also performed well. Like I said it has been tough to get them to eat,but when they turn on for a few hours it is all worth it. Did I mention that their are some huge Atlantic's as well. We will not start fishing the river again until late August. Many people call us for the summer fishery here for summer Steelhead & Atlantic's . We choose to avoid that because of very warm water temperatures, mid seventies generally. With that in mind, the chance of fish mortality is very high.We want to thank everyone for the great year we have had. We will start reporting on the Salmon again around mis August. We hope to see you all on the water. Tight Lines, Joe & Sinbad
