Stream Report

Last Report of the Year!
Salmon River
Water Temp: 33ºF     Flow: 500 cfs

First the report. The fishing in the upper river is consistent, because, well there's fish up there. We hit them on speys, buggers, flesh flies, nymphs, san juans, you name it. The name of the game was changing tactics, and there's a reason for this. The lower section of the river was dead. Put 2 and 2 together and you see that the fish in the upper needed constant changing because they are stale and have been seeing a lot of presentations, so yours better be good. A push of new fish will help things out.
