MORE Steelhead and Other Trout
Salmon River
Water Temp: 52ºF     Flow: 750 cfs

The Lower end of the river is seeing more and more Brown Trout, Domestic Rainbows, and Steelhead entering the river each day. Up river, the salmon are in spawn mode and have trout behind them picking off eggs and nymphs being dug up from the female salmon making redds.

Egg patterns continue to work well and streamers of different styles are getting attention too.

Lot of the trees are dropping their leaves, so the river will have those floating down and can mess with your drift. When there are a lot of leaves in the water, move to eggs in different colors than oranges, try chartreuse, blues, and pinks. Purple has been working really well too.
