Water Going to 1500
Salmon River
Water Temp: 57ºF     Flow: 500 cfs

With heavy rains forecasted over night, the Waterline is showing water releases pushing to 1500 cfs. This will definitely bring in a LARGE push of fish. The problem is, getting the fish will more of a challenge, and at some areas of the river, extremely dangerous. The crowds will bunch together in the wadable areas and drift boats will have more room to work.

Be extra careful wading and prepare yourself for some difficult fishing. Also, fighting a salmon in this flow will certainly be a harder.

Fish the softer areas, inside bends, and tailouts where you can. Big bright flies are in order. Forget the light tippet and make damn sure you have studded boots.
