Fishing is Good, Will Get Better
Salmon River
Water Temp: 57ºF     Flow: 500 cfs

The past few days saw more fish entering the lower river, with fish spread out through out the system. The crowds are concentrated in the likely spots and there's not too many areas where you can find solitude. But it's the Salmon River, this is the busiest time of year.

Kings, cohos, steelhead and brown trout are on the move.

You can target these fish with egg patterns, buggers, egg sucking leeches, etc.

The forecast is for rain, lots of rain. I suspect any rise in water levels will trigger the next run of fish. Reports have the estuary literally full of fish and more and more fish moving in. Pack your stuff and be ready.

Enjoy your time of the water. Be courteous to fellow anglers, yeah it's crowded, try not to make it feel that way.
