|Pineville Bridge Destroyed|
|Water Temp: 64ºF Flow: 500 cfs|
|Today, the removal of the Pineville Bridge begins. The expectation is that the removal of the bridge will only take one day. The near-100 year old bridge is being replaced due to safety concerns for those driving over the bridge those fishing near it. Steel sheeting and turbidity control measures are being taken to prevent run off and debris entering the water. The new bridge is expected to completed by the end of next summer.
Other than that, the fishing has been hot and cold in the lower end and consistent in the fly zones. Waves of fish have been coming in on different days of the week, using weather and water patterns will better your chance at being there when the time is right, but it's never a sure thing. The only way to guarantee success is to have your fly in the water often.
Now is great time to book your Fall/Winter/Spring steelhead trips. Yeah, we are still targeting salmon this time of year, but everyone knows catching chrome is better. :)
