Stream Report

Salmon, Steelhead, Browns, ATLANTICS
Salmon River
Water Temp: 55ºF     Flow: 500 cfs

This report covers several days of quality fishing.

We are in the heat of the salmon spawn. Find spawning salmon, and you'll come across trout picking up the eggs and nymphs behind them. We are doing very well on all Salmon River species, from chinooks and cohos, to steelhead and browns. We have even caught two good sized Atlantic Salmon.

Egg patterns, woolly buggers, and natural nymph patterns have all worked well over the past week. We expect with more salmon on redds, the egg pattern to take an even more important role in fly selection.

Whether on foot or in the boat, we are catching fish and having a lot of fun. Here are a couple photos, look for more in our gallery coming soon. There just isn't enough time to post them all, time to sleep and be ready for tomorrow.
