Timing is Everything
Salmon River
Water Temp: 58ºF     Flow: 700 cfs

We are closing in on the height of the salmon season, where the fish really start entering the river in droves, mixed with steelhead, browns, and even some Atlantics mixed in.

The cold evenings, rain, and overcast skies that come with the change of seasons really gets the river full of fish. Now is the peak time of excitement for salmon fisherman.

Woolly Buggers, glo bugs, estaz patterns, and stone flies will continue to be our favorite flies. As you move up river, change your flies to be more natural and a size smaller. If you fish the Lower Fly or Upper Fly Zones, nymph and caddis patterns become important. Once the fish really start digging their redds, move back to egg patterns.

We are taking reservations for steelhead season, so give us a call for an amazing day on the water. We guarantee your success with our "No Fish, No Pay Guarantee."
