|Well, the count down has begun. With the high water and cooler nights forecasted, it could be any day an early run hits the river.
Each morning a few strangler fish come into the lower river, but nothing major as of yet. That doesn't mean it hurts to be in the lower river, searching for those few fish. Throwing big streamers this time of year is a good bet for those aggressive first fish.

For those anglers who fish the West Branch Delaware, and other rivers where didymo or rock snot is prevalent, be certain to wash your boots and waders before fishing the Salmon River, to prevent spread of this evasive algae.
