Check out the Flow!
Salmon River
Water Temp: 0ºF     Flow: 1000 cfs

Well, as promised the Salmon River received her white water release over the weekend. Based on the USGS chart, the water ran high for more than 2 days, which is good way to bring in some skamania steelhead.

Releases like these are the true opportunities to get into a bright summer chrome or super-elusive Atlantic salmon. Hit the lower water with big bright streamers, buggers, or leeches.

FOUR weeks and counting! We will be on the water the last weekend of August searching for a few early fish on the next white water release.

How cool would it be for there to be another early massive COHO run like in 09/2006? Man that was a day to remember. Hundreds of Coho blasting up and down all day. That was prehaps one of the best days ever on the river. A picture from back then... ah, chrome coho!
