Salmon River
Water Temp: 60ºF     Flow: 100 cfs

The title says it all. Our clients are currently catching every anadromous species in Lake Ontario. Every day, more fish enter the river. Some days are better than others. Wednesday we saw more coho come into the river, then ever. It was amazing, one of those, "You shoulda been here!" days.

The water is still really low and clear, so LIGHT WEIGHT (BB shot) and light tippets are on the order. We are using natural fly patterns: stone flies, stimulators, and other dark nymph patterns. The occasional bugger has worked for us too.

Pulaski is getting busy, but our clients are understanding and grateful we are taking the river etiquette seriously. Snaggers, you know who you are, will be called out. We are not tolerating it this year.

If you fish with us, we guarantee you will CATCH a fish. Want to learn how to actually fish for salmon? Give us a call, (518) 527-7104. We are currently guiding each day and are not always available to reach our email. For fastest responses, leave a message with your name, phone number, the date for which you are looking for a trip, and how many anglers will be in your party. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience. We are working for a solution to remotely gain email access in Pulaski.
