|Recon on the Salmon River|

|The first day of the season. What can you do, but walk the river and look for fish? We weren't guiding, just out and about.
The morning was chilly, 46 degrees, but quickly warmed up. We targeted the lower river, below Pulaski, in search of a some early salmon. We saw a couple fish on stringers, a dead one here and there, but not enough fish to keep us interested for a full day. The bright sun and warming temps sealed the deal by 2p.
Nonetheless, it was nice to go out and see the river. The Salmon River is an old friend, and seeing her after the summer break, is like coming home to an old friend.
We have some days still available for this Fall's Salmon and Steelhead season. Also, don't forget about the big browns that come in as well. Call us @ (518) 355-8454 or drop us an email to reserve your trip. Don't forget about our No Fish, No Pay Guarantee! (See above.)
