|Salmon River, Tribs|
|Water Temp: 48ºF Flow: 1800 cfs|
|The recent rains, and snow!, has pushed the release to 1800 cfs. With the latest changes to the upper river, places where we used to be able to fish in this flow are now difficult to reach and fish safely.
The Upper Fly Zone and local tributaries are receiving the most pressure. The Salmon River, below the tributaries, the river is pushing a lot of water, over 2200 cfs. Please be safe and use common sense near the river. It is dangerous at this level.
The Salmon are actively spawning and are prone to being lined, snagged, lifted, whatever you call it. Be careful and fish ethically. There is no reason, to target fish in shallow water, on reeds. You could pick up some steelhead behind the spawning Kings, drifting nymphs and egg patterns, in areas where there is gravel near deeper water.
