Getting Closer
Salmon River
Water Temp: 70ºF     Flow: 185 cfs

The Lower River is seeing a few more fish each day. The lake is reporting fish in the 80-150 ft range. With the lower night time temperatures, be ready any day for a push of early fish.

Don't forget, Labor Day weekend is the last of the scheduled Recreational White Water releases. The Water Line hasn't reported the proposed flow yet, but usually it is 700 cfs. This extra water, could pull some more fish in.. especially the skamina.

Now is great time to swing big streamers or buggers on a short leader and sink tip. These early fish are aggressive and will move to hit your fly.
