( What a Surprise )
Salmon River
Water Temp: 63ºF     Flow: 335 cfs

This report is for Sat. the 18th. of Sept.- Wed. the 22nd. To my surprise Sat. morning, the Salmon River was producing some hefty if not fascinating numbers of Lake Ontario Brown trout, yes you heard it right Brown Trout. Sizes ranged from 8-15 lbs. This occurence went on Sun.-Wed. as far as I can tell these fish were being caught all up and down the Salmon River.
Good numbers of Steelies & Coho,s added to our delight. We all manage to hook a couple of King,s,no matter this was a delight.Fly:s of note this trip,Muddlers Minnows,Brown Rubber Leg Nymphs,Flash Back Pheasant Tails,Copper Johns.
