Stream Report

( April Fools )
Salmon River
Water Temp: 33ºF     Flow: 4500 cfs

This report is for Wed. Mar. 31st. - Sat. April 3rd. Well I have to tell you since Wed. we managed to fish about 3 and a half hrs., and a 1000 miles later, no joke. Thursday morning I was shocked at the rise in the Salmon River with no warning. Within two hrs. we were packed and prepared to go in search of some descent fly water. Two and a half hrs. later we stopped to look at Sandy, then Oak Orchard not good.45 min. later we stopped by 18 mile took a look, decided it was worth fishing. We started to fish about 12.30 p.m.. It did not take long to get into some nice chrome, and boy was their lots of chrome fish going about their spring business. About 3 p.m. I ripped by new simms waders & mother nature started her latest round of down pours. Decided to get some material to repair my waders and check in for the night, the fishing was worth it. Well mother nature had different ideas for us, Fri. came, 18 mile had risen, and had an awful color to it. More driving no place to fish looks like ( April Fools ) got the best of this trip.
