Stream Report

( A Test Of Patience & Reward )
Salmon River
Water Temp: 33ºF     Flow: 700 cfs

This report is for Fri. the 27th.- Mon. the 1st. of March. The spring Steel-Head fishing is a month off stride, for what it should be at the moment. That will change quickly though, with the lower river opening it;s gate to awaiting Steel Head. Winters hold are her are close to being old news. The fish this trip came tough,& not with-out dues to be paid. Yesterday I swear the first thing I did, when I left the river was pop three advil. If I did not ( roll cast ) a few thousand times from 7.a.m till 4 p.m. to produce two steelies, And I am not kidding. Believe it or not I was one of the lucky ones. Black was the predominant color in all my "Fly" selections this trip.
