Stream Report

( Bring On The Steelies)
Salmon River
Water Temp: 37ºF     Flow: 1200 cfs

This report is for Fri.the 8th.- Sat. the 9th.Well it is hard to believe with temp. nearing 60 degrees and SteelHead fishing seemingly to be in high gear on the Salmon River, the fishing pressure is very light to say the least. If you were not one of the chosen few, who showed up for this strange and unseasonable weather this weekend all I can say is shame on you. These fish were very agressive to stone flys in various colors and sizes. Some limited action on peach sucker spawn also. Many of the fish I saw were dime bright, and putting on a show.It is very important to remember, at this water flow even a 8lb. Steelhead can fight like nothing you can imagine.Tight lines,Joe&Sinbad
